Dog for adoption: Celine

Posted by siyerwin on Sunday, January 06, 2008 at 12:29 AM Adopt CelineHISTORY: Rescued in Paranaque by the PAWS rescue team.

PERSONALITY: A couch potato, not active, but sweet :)

GENDER / AGE: Female, approx. 2 yrs old

KIDS: Yes, but older kids. Not below 10 yrs old.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS: When she was rescued, she had no hair and had mange, so a holistic, hypo-allergenic diet would be good for her.

TYPE OF GUARDIAN: Even a novice dog guardian can adopt Celine.

I cried while reading the articles in your site. I have a very spunky JRT whom I love dearly and I can relate on how much compassion you have for animals. I read somewhere that Mario was already adopted so I'm thinking I might take Celine instead. I'll visit you guys very soon along with my adoption papers ready for her...
You guys keep it up. I hope I can volunteer when my shed allows me.

Thanks, mromualdez. Wow, I do hope more people like you find these animals as well.

I'm pretty sure Celine was named after a fellow PAWS volunteer who incidentally is lucky Mario's new Mommy!!! Amazing story that adoption was and I hope I find enough creative juice in me to weave it into a story here. See how Mario is doing at Celine's (the human) Multiply site which by the way is also a great site for reading the thoughts of a fierce animal advocate who feel for the animals.

Here are a couple of Mario pages from her site:
Home Is Where The Biscuit Is
    Welcom Home Mario

Mario is in very good hands and I think Celine (the dog) will be too when you come around... :)

When you're at the shelter please ask to meet another dog named "Jasmine" as well. She's another special lady, the longest-staying shelter dog at the moment. Was there even before Mario...

Thanks, mromualdez!!! Hope to see you around soon!

    You don't know? :)

Celine's been adopted! :) I'm not sure if mromualdez was the one who took her but she's no longer at the shelter when I visited yesterday!

I texted Celine (human) immediately and she's ecstatic! :)

Will get in touch with Jho this week to find out more details.

By the way, New York and TWO other cats have been adopted!

Sadly though, we lost Jaya due to sickness. :(

Please do not leave your email or contact numbers in the comments. Email me directly at sherwin @ if you have concerns or questions. This blog is increasingly attracting breeders/pet sellers trying to advertise their business through the comments and I don't want that. The blog seems to also be becoming a bulletin board of sorts for people who wish to abandon their pets. allows no way to edit your comments so there I have no other option but to delete comments that I deem inappropriate in this regard. I apologize for the inconvenience. Again, if you have any questions/concerns, better to email me at sherwin @ than to comment here. Thank you very much!
