July One

uAdoption is only one aspect of the animal welfare advocacy. There are other ways that you can help these homeless animals. If you're interested in learning more about those ways, please attend the forthcoming PAWS orientation on July 1, Saturday, the year 2006, 10:00 AM, at the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center (PARC), and become a volunteer. Here's the chance you may be waiting for, my friend. Pounce on it. Now is the time. Stop denying your heart the fulfillment of seeing the animals freed from pain and misery and into better lives. Do it. Do it. :)

A hundred cat and dog licks await those who come. Bring a friend. Ask your friend to bring a friend.

These animals need more of us to lean on.

Please get the volunteer application form here, fill it up, and kindly bring it personally to PARC on July 1 or fax it to (02)7241986. See you there!

Call PARC for your questions: (02)4751688

Or email them to find.home @ yahoo.co.uk and I'll do my best to help.

hi! am here by way of your officemate's forwarded email (chris). i'm inspired by the dedication that powers this blog.

i have 2 questions: 1) how to commute to PARC and 2) how strict are they about the following sentence (lifted off the paws volunteer application form)?

I agree to volunteer at least 8 hours per month for at least 6 months.

they don't have attendance sheets or *gasp* bundy clocks naman i hope? :P

    thanks! Ü

    cherry,

thanks a lot for being here. you know what, PAWS only put that there to instill a sense that they are looking for sincere and dedicated people that really wants to help. and you can show those things as a volunteer in ways that can't really be efficiently measured by time. if you're thinking that being a volunteer only means helping out at PARC then you are mistaken. there are volunteers who lend their skills and talents to PAWS (like liaison works, artistic works, animal fostering, donating, scouting for adoptive homes, etc.) but rarely show up to do animal care at PARC. in my humble opinion, telling other people about PAWS and the lessons they teach is already volunteer work!

so my answer, i guess, is no they're not strict.

as to the question on the commute, where will you be coming from? if you email me at find.home @ yahoo.co.uk, i can email you back the directions.

again, thanks and i do hope to see you around as a volunteer one of these days! Punta ka sa July 1? :)

well... I think I speak for all animals out there when I say: PAWS... thanks. :)

    God bless and ingat.

off topic. any update on nicole? how is she? has anyone adopted her already?

  7. By siyerwin on Jun 27, 2006, 10:15:00 PM

last saturday i was told that nicole is still with the marikina vet clinic and is doing fine. last time i talked to the vet i was advised not to hurry up getting nicole adopted because she still wants to try and treat her into wellness. there's still a chance that her heart will go back to normal, with proper vet care.

i'm keeping my fingers crossed and will update all those who have been concerned for her as i get more news.

    thanks, m. :)

Please do not leave your email or contact numbers in the comments. Email me directly at sherwin @ mefindhome.org if you have concerns or questions. This blog is increasingly attracting breeders/pet sellers trying to advertise their business through the comments and I don't want that. The blog seems to also be becoming a bulletin board of sorts for people who wish to abandon their pets. Blogger.com allows no way to edit your comments so there I have no other option but to delete comments that I deem inappropriate in this regard. I apologize for the inconvenience. Again, if you have any questions/concerns, better to email me at sherwin @ mefindhome.org than to comment here. Thank you very much!
